Nothing compares to a Chicago summer — the sun is shining, the parks are green, the patios are open, the rooftops are flourishing. And lucky for those who work at One Two Pru, we have the best of the season directly at our fingertips. From music in Millennium Park just steps away to a 7,000-square-foot rooftop terrace right at work, endless summer activities beckon beyond our doorstep. Explore a few of our favorites below.

Grab Drinks on a Rooftop

When the weather’s warm and the sun is out, sit back and enjoy the view at one of Chicago’s rooftops. Mere steps from One Two Pru is Cindy’s, a hip and stylish rooftop at the Chicago Athletic Association Hotel, while popular spots like Cabra and Offshore are just moments away. Plus, tenants can take advantage of one of the best rooftops right here at One Two Pru. Set high above the park with lakefront and skyline views, our rooftop terrace features multiple lounge spaces and a grassy lawn so you can gather with co-workers for happy hour sips and convo.

Dine by the Water

After work or on the weekends, you can find countless One Two Pru tenants journeying down to the waterfront for a delicious meal. Between the Chicago River and Lake Michigan, there are endless options for dining along the water. For incredible hand-stretched pizzas, look no further than Pizzeria Portofino in River North. For fresh seafood in a chic, high-end ambiance, head to RPM seafood. No matter your cravings, the waterfront will exactly have what you’re looking for.

Catch an Outdoor Movie

Why watch a movie indoors when you can do it outside this summer? Located in Fulton Market, the Rooftop Cinema Club will be playing crowd-favorite films all summer long — from Dirty Dancing to The Princess Bride to Spiderman. Nestled between sky-high towers amidst the glittering city lights, their fifth-floor terrace at The Emily Hotel is the perfect place to catch a flick.

Attend a Music Festival

Celebrate the sounds of summer and grab a ticket to one of Chicago’s many music festivals. Until August 18, the Millennium Park Summer Music Series will be taking place just outside our door at One Two Pru, featuring a wide range of music from both emerging and well-established performers. Catch headlining sets from The National, Mitski and The Roots at Pitchfork Music Festival, located in Union Park the weekend of July 15. Or, if classical music is more your vibe, head to the Grant Park Music Festival, which runs until August 20.
