St. Patrick’s Day is a longstanding festive affair in Chicago, and it’s no secret the city knows how to throw a party  — and not just on March 17 but all month long. From the annual parade, which took place just outside Pru’s front door this past Saturday, to the Chicago River dyeing, there’s no shortage of fun and excitement.

Here at Pru, tenants geared up for St. Patrick’s Day with a healthy green juice tasting on Tuesday, March 14, in the lobby, courtesy of Arch Amenities Group. Then, join us for a St. Patrick’s Day Brunch on March 15, from 10:00 am to noon, at the Tenant’s Club on the 11th Floor of One Pru. Enjoy Irish-inspired corned beef breakfast sandwiches, a live DJ, and mimosas in our lounge or outside on The Rooftop at Pru, overlooking the park, lake and city..

For those who are looking to experience the festivities beyond our doors, The Gage (24 S. Michigan Avenue) is just steps away. The upscale Irish pub will be throwing a more-than-memorable St. Patrick’s Day celebration on March 17. Backed by two generations of the Lawless family, incredible food, and live music by The Fiddlin’ Finnigans and an Irish bagpiper, you’d be hard pressed to find a more authentic celebration. Rumor has it they’ve even hosted the President of Ireland and plenty of Irish diplomats in years past.

Keep the endorphins going with the Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle on Sunday, March 26. One of Chicago’s most popular spring wellness events, the 8k race weaves its way through Chicago’s Loop, eventually finding its way to Grant Park. The scenic course is a great way to take in some of the city’s most storied sights while getting some exercise in, and runners (or walkers) of every level are welcome to participate. After the race, relax and get your fill of greenery at the post-race party in the park. First drink is on the house for race participants.

With the annual parade in the rearview, there’s no better time to start scoping out viewpoints for next year. With its towering height and prime location, Pru is the perfect spot to take in all the action. From The Rooftop at Pru, the only commercial rooftop of its kind in the city, tenants can take in stunning views of the city and watch as the parade winds its way through the streets below. The building’s lower levels are home to a variety of restaurants, such as Giordono’s and Rosebud, where you can relax and recharge with great food and beverages.

For those lucky enough to experience this St. Patty’s Day with Pru and its neighbors, it will be an unforgettable experience.
